H is for Holidays!

Holidays in my classroom are so fun!  No matter what grade I teach.  Even with 5th, I tried to incorporate activities that went with my standards.  And of course I love to decorate.  As a matter of fact, this was often one of the favorite memories among my 5th graders.
One of my favorite ways to make it fun (without having a party) is to have centers.  I try to come up with a math, game, art, and snack center.  We rotate every 15-20 mins.  Every holiday gets some fun "learning" centers. =)  (Here is where I posted about my Halloween centers.)  Of course I forgot to capture Thanksgiving centers with my camera!  My kids made a Tree of Thanks, Roll-a-Turkey game, Thanksgiving tally/graph, and upside-down pumpkin pie.

  1. I LOVED seeing some of your Halloween ideas and will definitely be saving some of those for next year! I love centers too. :)
